The Night Belgium Died

Tonight, most of Belgium has been hoaxed by a fake breaking news program claiming that Flanders had unilaterally declared its independance.

Considering the stupidity of our politicians and the rage going on in the streets, the backlash for Jean-Claude Defossé will probably be rude. It's high time we show the man our support!

Petit Pays. Petit Esprit. Merci Jean-Claude Defossé! ;)
Thanks Colin for the button.

In other news, 80% of the french speaking Belgian population seems to have the IQ of a mollusk.

A Tribute to the Forward Thinkers

I have quite a decent bathroom collection of computer games and programming magazines (from 1986 to 2000) and that's an endless source of bogus predictions and phoney reviews.

We'll start with a quote coming straight from the dot-com era:

(...) studies have shown that, in Europe, by 2004, 200 millions mobile devices will be WAP enabled and 60% of all internet connections will be initiated with mobiles.

- Sophie Bocquillon (september 2000, in Programmez, p. 44) *

* I highly suspect the article featuring this quote to be an infomercial, although it was not advised as is and it seamlessly blend into the other very poor content of the magazine.

Are you a buzzword abuser?

A pretty funny article about buzzwords : Anyone who uses mission-critical to describe something important is clinging a little too tightly to their childhood dream of becoming an astronaut.

Signal analysis from Michael Moore's speech

You probably heard about the Mike Moore speech controversy, now here's some more clues gathered in a scientific way...

The Sun backs Our Boys

I wish this shit was a joke... how can those people so excited about this fucking war? How proud they will be when a handful of british boys will be blasted in the friendly fire of an amphetamine boosted Apache chopper pilot?

The Modern Day Holocaust

I really don't know what to think about this quite provocative hardline veg propaganda...

Propaganda Critic

An excellent site about propaganda, worth reading before you watch CNN.

Crossfire

From a CNN transcript :

WALKER: I'm not going to try and defend Saddam Hussein. ...
HAYES: Try and defend Jacques Chirac. That's almost as difficult.

Fucking rednecks... the more I look at CNN, the more it looks like an American Pravda...

Salon : Embrace file-sharing, or die

A record executive and his son make a formal case for freely downloading music. The gist: 50 million Americans can't be. A really great, well-written manifesto.

trez & brioche's redofromstart.com redesign
