This is so great ! I almost cried ! O the nostalgia ...
The soundtrack ... reminds me something for sure
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olof_GustafssonPinball dreams ! By that time, I could just stare at some meaningless intro to hear the soundtrack ...
The demo soundtrack can be found @256kpbs here
ftp://mirror.support.nl/pub/tbl/download/audio/Starstruck.mp3This demo deserves more than googlevideo's quality but ... can't find anything significantly better
I found a 200MB mpeg but ... that's not what you could expect nowadays for 6 minutes

oops ... I clicked submit by accident.
Just to say the crows are my favourite part ...
the "Matrix" influence is obvious, but strangely enough this reminds me of the metal gear solid 2&3. For sure, Hideo Kojima as kept some old-school videogame spirit, and the intros are absolutely great.
I'll keep looking for some real quality movie of this demo ... or, well, I could buy an amiga, but ...

The cap was recorded in UAE so I guess you don't even need an Amiga with an extension board to run it.
If you want to see more impressive contemporary Amiga demos, you should check out releases from Ephidrena.
The design is mostly what one would expect for a bound-to-win-a-party demo, that is: an overal cyberpunkish, dystopian atmosphere, an attractive virtual female and last but not least, an impressive 3D scene when the bass drops. ;)
Well executed demos can definitely bring some very strong feelings to hardcore geeks. I also almost broke in tears watching productions such as Sea Robot of Love or the final scene of The Nonstop Ibiza Experience.

I could run it with e-uae ( max-uae is still not intel-compatible ... ). But it's slooooooow :( Even though I compiled it and it's indeed an intel binary. I even tried to give the process realtime proiority, it doesn't help. Any tip ?

I dropped any amiga emulation on mac I never got the real speed, and most of the demo crash because they hacked the hardware...
The only good one is for the C64...Never experienced on PC... :s
