The good folks of Belgium have become accustomed to the Welfare State to a point of non return. Gas price breaks the roof? Don't worry, our beloved and fearless elite takes care of this! If you're a cab or truck driver, they won't let you behind! Just pretend you are going on strike and the government will give you some cash right away... At least I know now that they are sucking half of my salary and other freelance business related revenues to allow paupers to keep up screwing the planet with their cars and fuel powered central warming!

But why should the State refrain from helping other people in need? In regard to the current global economic situation where we have a "weak" Dollar and a "strong" Euro, I feel that we, loyal Apple customers, are eligible for a little help from our great and kind Federal State. So, when is Mr Verhofstadt going to propose to pay the difference between a EUR 199,00 iPod nano and its normal USD 199,00 price tag? Now that would be real social progress for the masses!
